We are getting a new alpaca. His name is Antonio and he's just beautiful. A lovely fawn and a beautiful fleece!
Haven't posted for quite awhile. We've been busy installing a new oak kitchen. Still have all the floors, trim and window seal to do. I love it.
manage to break my left wrist... it's going to be a really nice lazy summer!
My 17 year old, Beth went to her first Prom on Saturday night. Didn't she look just beautiful? My older daughter Jackie's former college roomate, Aquila had the sari made for us last summer while she was home visiting India. Beth lived in Pakistan until she was three and we wanted to show off her Indian beauty! Matt's (her date) mom researched the internet to find the correct type of flowers to go with her dress and they were wonderful, several types of orchids and grasses. Beth had a fantastic time and is just now catching up on all the sleep she missed.
Have I told you lately that I have very strange children? Don't you love the attitude in this bunch?
alpaca guard dogs. Dolby is going to be a family pet but it's nice to know he'll be around with the alpacas if we are gone for a few hours.
Hi to my dear friend, Melanie. Hope your trip is going well, that you get some rest and have a safe flight home. You and Sarah have a wonderful time at Maryland Sheep and Wool! I'll be thinking about you!
It's April Fool's Day and check out the girl's breakfast!
They had green blueberry muffins, bright orange butter, and purple milk.
The girls have really been enjoying their Sunday. They've been outside since getting home from church making a snowman and snow angels. The snow is melting and is great for playing today.
I had an opportunity to visit not only the National Tree in Washington, DC on New Year's Eve but, the Rockefeller Center Tree in Manhattan, NY the week before Christmas. I think this year was the nicest Christmas I have ever had. Thank you, Jackie!
Jackie and I went to New York City on Wednesday and Thursday. We went to Radio City Music Hall to see the Rockettes, visited Broadway, 5th Ave., Times Square, and Rockefeller Center. It was such fun and I do hope to go back and spend more time site seeing!
The girls didn't have school yesterday. Wayne was able to take a day off so we headed to Niagara Falls. None of the girls had seen it before and had a great time. We did the trip down below the Falls and got soaked! Right to left: Sierra, Gail, Katie, Beth, Brandi and Wayne in back. It was a long day but good fun.
My 16 year old daughter went to her first Homecoming Dance Saturday night. Didn't she just look gorgeous? She went with her friend Austin who scored a touchdown in Friday night's game!
Happy 2007 everyone! This picture is my four daughters and my granddaughter Onya giving you their "Cindy Lou Who" look. Right now I'm working on some shawls , different styles but all in the Fan and Feather pattern. I'm teaching a Prayer Shawl class at Knitter's Fantasy (a large all day knitting show in Warren, OH) on April 14th and I'm busy knitting up samples for it.
Just finished a Five Hour Baby Sweater set for the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. My yahoo group, Native American Support:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NativeAmericanSupport/ is doing a sweater drive for the reservation. I've decided to make baby outfits to send to the reservation WIC program.
Just got back from our long awaited trip to Disney World. Look who we ran into at the Magic Kingdom!
The girls had a fantastic time and we loved staying at the Port Orleans Hotels. Below are more pictures of our vacation. The weather was nice and sunny but, cool enough so we could enjoy running around the parks!
Once I get my scanner to cooperate, I will post a pic of my family.
I love technology!
